Silentshadow sat down, rather muddled. She had just met a tom who's name was the same as her's though they didn't get them the same way. She waited patiently for her leader, excited to get time with him. She licked a paw and drew it over her ear, grooming her pelt.

Sil;entshoaw stumbled out of the pines and growled with irratation as a squirrel scurried up a tree. He sat down, licking a paw and drawing it over his muzzle, it was bleeding. He sighed and licked it again. I must have scratched it on those throns. He told himself. He turned around and saw Silentshadow, the old tribe she-cat," Hello. What are you doing?"

Silentshadow looked around, stunned to hear a voice that she hadn't been expecting. "Oh!" she said startled "Well I'm waiting for Shadelight(star) because we're going on a hunting patrol" she explained, her eyes examining the warrior who's name was the same as her's.

" Oh..." he looked down a a scarlet drop of blood landed on his paw, he licked it off and drew his paw over his muzzle again. He sighed and settled down beside her," Mind if i join you? If you do i'll leave..."

The slender black body of Shadelight appeared over the hedge. His stunnign yellow eyes gazed intently on the two as he neared where they sat. He bowed his head in a greeting and seated himself. "Doesn't matter, as Silentshadow she organized the patrol" he meowed with a wink to her direction.

Silentshadow shook her head "No, it's alright, if you want to join us that's fine" she mewed, getting to her feet. As Shadelight appeared, the she-cat couldn't help but smile. He was always so comical. Looking at Shadelight, the other tom, she continued to smile in his direction as well. They where both very nice to her.

Silentshadow suddenly froze before spinning around to stalk slowly off in diffrent direction. Coming back a few minutes later, a vole clamped tightly in her jaws. She burried it near the base of a tree before returning to walk between the two toms. "Sorry about that, I just scented the prey on the wind and couldn't let it go without getting caught" she purred, laughing slightly.

Silentshadow smiled," No problem! That was a excellent catch!" He turned his amber gaze away from hers for only a heartbeat and then it flickered back. He blushed slightly, thankful for his black pelt. If he had a white pelt it would've shown...

Silentshadow smiled back, accepting the praise silently. Turning away from the tom's amber gaze she fixed her green gaze on Shadelight. "How are you enjoying the liberty, but the shackles that come with the sense of responsibilty gained as a leader?" she asked, genuinely interested. She wasn't asking for ambitious reasons, but on the contrary. Who would want to have the power but also the restraint of being in charge of a whole clan? She had asked in more of a friendly, worried manner.

Shadelight stood up, he eyed Silentshadow as she made her way through the undergrowth to reach her prey. As she left her approuch and caught the prey Shadelight grinned, "well done Silentshadow"
He turned to look at her his stunning yellow eyes in the midst of thinking. "I am honoured to be leader of Shadowclan, and am glad I have others such as yoursevels to support me. But at times I fear that I will not prove myself as great as a leader as Shadestar" he meowed.

Silentshadow smiled his amber gaze fixed on Shadelight," You will be an excellent leader and you will make an honorable choice for deputy if i know you my old friend." He smiled at the thought of him and Shadestar and Shadelight on patrol together. He turned his gaze to the dim light of the night sky and looked at Silverpelt, searching for Shadestar's spirit, his leader, friend and clanmate had gone...

Silentshadow licked Shadelight reassuringly on the cheek "You have nothing to worry about. Shadestar didn't appoint you as his deputy for nothing" she purred "He chose you for a reason. You know,it's almost as though he knew how it would end and planed for us as best as he could. I know it sounds silly but how could he have ended things this perfectly for us all?" she mused.

Silentshadow suddenly felt a burst of energy, she felt free and happy. She wasn't just going to walk this one it. Nudging Silentshadow gently in the ribs she mewed "You're it!" and with that she sprinted away from the tom as fast as she could, hoping to burn off some of her energy but not all of it so that she could still hunt properly.
