Foxfire sighed quietly."You know when I served in ShadowClan for those 15 moons I got to have a mate and kits, Wildface was her name, but the trouble was in winter all of ShadowClan was starving so me, Wildface, and two other went out for food. Even though she was still a queen she went looking in the blizzard for food, unfortunately we got lost in the snowstorm. One of our warriors, Blackstride, went missing and to this day was never found, whether he is alive or not he was my first friend there. Wildface went looking for him and I stayed with Robbinwing. After what seemed forever she went missing too, then the worst could happen. I saw her there, sitting ever so peacefully by herself. I tried prodding her when the the horrible truth hit, me she wasn't moving, she had frozen to death and as for my kits back at camp either froze to death as well or went missing with a few other warriors when we got back there." Explained the white tom as his expressions filled with pain."I didn't want to leave her Ripllestream but I had to, I had to survive, if only I had gone with her." Sighing ever so slightly, then taking his amber gaze to the sky."And you know sometimes when I look up at the stars at night, I can see her face smiling back at me and when I die I hope to join her with my kits." Smiling a little at the thought as Foxfires gaze was stuck up at the stars.

Rippledstream licked her brother reassuringly. "You never told me about your family" she whispered, somewhat reproachful but understanding. "Even though there is nothing left of Mom and Dad but empty shells and Risingdawn has duties that have made her immune to us, I will always love you, you're my brother after all. We only have each other left, we need to be strong for each other" she murmered, her tone pleading and hopeful as well as stong and brave. She needed him in her life after all her family had gone off. "When you left me" she breathed "I was ruined" she declared "I had lost my whole family. I almost wished that you had all died, it would have been better then have you all alive but unresponsive to me as your family. But when you came back I was happier then I've ever felt in a long time. Please, don't take away what matters most to me right now, please stay with me and be the brother you used to be before you had to leave."

Heatherpaw decided it was best if she left so she turned around quietly and padded gracefully back to camp.

Rippledstream watched Heatherfrost go, wanting to let the she-cat know she could stay but it was too late, she had already left.
