Honeypaw leaped through the meadow. she opened her mouth, and tasted the air. Mouse. She suddenly dropped into a hunter's crouch, and stalked slowly up to the mouse. The small creature was busy scuttling on the ground, sniffing around for beech nuts. Then, the mouse's head shot up, staring into what seemed like nothing for a swift moment, then darted off into the safety of a rock. honeypaw had stepped on a twig! "Fox dng!." she snarled.

Nightpaw trampled out of the brush, in the same direction the mouse had looked before darting off, "Hey Honeypaw!" She squeaked and pummeled into the other apprentice, "What'cha doing?" She meowed.

"Hunting." Honeypaw responded,"but, that mouse got away.", but suddenly, she brightened up, "Do you wanna come hunting with me? It'll be better with two of us!"

Honeypaw opened her mouth, tasting the air. The warm scent of mouse hit the roof, and she flicked her tail to where it was coming from. "There, I smell mouse!" she meowed, flicking her tail in the direction.
