Jaguargaze stood in his den," Risingpaw?" He called looking around for his apprentice

Risingpaw bounded into the den, feeling exceptionaly happy today. For it had been just moments ago that she'd patched things up with her mother and sister. She had never told them of her secret longing to become a medicine cat and during the battle she betrayed them to follow her dream. It's not to say that her family was cross, well at least Jadeflight and Rippledstream weren't. It was more so the fact that they had been offended that she wouldn't have confided in them, the two she-cats who knew her best in the whole world. She sighed, happy that the peace was restored back to the way it had always been. "Yes Jaguardgaze?" she called as she heard her mentor's search for the young she-cat who had once been so youthful, had now become a pretty, young she-cat who, had she have pursued her training, would have been made a warrior already.

" We are going to the Moonpool tonight so i want you to rest and i'll wake you when it's time to leave." He smiled at the thought of giving his apprentice her full name, yet it would be a long time before she was a full medicine cat because for that he would have to die or retire and he was only 31 moons old. He sat down and licked his unusually spotted pelt, his yellow gaze fixed on her.

The young she-cat padded into the den, she had recieved her full name but her shoulders sagged with the weights of this knowledge. She looked at her mentor for guidance, though he was only 8 moons older then she was she respected him very much. He was everything for her. When your a medicine cat many of your usual rights and dreams are taken away from you, you may not have a mate or kits for it is believed to ruin your concentration and connection with starclan. Risingdawn understood this and it tore her in half for she always dreamed of having her own family but now all she could do was have everyone's kits and treat them as her own. So this is why the bond between a medicine cat and the medicine cat apprentice is so strong. Risingdawn thought of Jaguargaze as an ideal medicine cat. To her he was her best friend, her teacher, the mate she could never really have and so much more, for he was the one who knew her best. She sighed, laying down in her nest she licked the white sock marking on her foot thoughtfully.

He gazed at her through green, knowing, eyes. He liked his apprentice very much. Although Starclan forbids it, he loved her. He sighed and sat beside her wrapping his tail around her neck and drawing her gaze towards his," You must not speak of this and act as if nothing has happened." He licked her ear and padded back to his nest for some much need rest.

Risingdawn returned his gaze silently, blinking occasionaly before nodding with understanding "Yes Jaguargaze, I promise" she breathed, her heart sinking to the pit of her stomach, torn between what was right and what she longed for. She knew that if it came down to deciding she do as her mentor told her for it was right but deep down she longed for her family to love her and she wanted to badly to say what ever she needed to in order to have them unite once more. But then again her heart was tied to Jaguargaze's and it was tie that no longing could sever. Her family had abandoned her and therefor they where nothing more then WindClan warriors. She smiled as her mentor went to his nest and she curled herself up tighter for good sleep, her nose tucked under her tail.

~Next morning~

Jaguargaze woke ad stretched, yawning. His white teeth shining in the morning light.

Risingdawn woke slightly after, blinking open her green eyes. She smiled at Jaguargaze, her troubles of the night before leaving her. "Goodmorning" she purred, stretching.

He smiled," Good morning... It looks like it's going to be a rainy day, we should go and get some Goldenrod and Watermint before it rains." He stood and padded to the entrence waiting for his apprentice.

Risingdawn leapted to her feet "sounds good to me!" she mewed excitedly, even though she was an adult cat she was still an enthusiastic apprentice. "Shall we get others to help or shall it be just the two of us?" she asked, stretching as she padded towards her mentor.

" I think we can handle it unless you want to bring someone along."

Risingdawn shook her head, wanting to spend time with her mentor alone, even though they where always alone. She felt more attached to him now then ever. Ever since she'd realized how much he meant to her, she'd wanted to spend every moment with him. She wondered if, had they both been warriors, if they'd have ever have had such a connection. She pondered this silently. Might they have even been mates? She couldn't say.

{haha she's a little wierd but i mean she can't love anyone in that way by rule now so it's obvious she'd want to ponder such things haha }

Jagurargaze smiled and licked her ear, his amber eyes shining. He padded out of the den and to the wind plains.

Risingdawn padded after him, her eyes sparkling with excitement and confusion. Why did her life need to be so difficult? she wondered.
